What Word Comment Export Includes
A DOCX stores comments separately from the document body. This tool links classic review comments back to their comment-range markers and reads modern reply and resolution metadata when it exists. Page numbers are not exported because DOCX XML does not store final rendered page positions reliably; those depend on Word’s layout engine, fonts, and printer settings.
The tool exports review comments only. It does not accept tracked changes, alter the Word file, or remove reviewer metadata. If you are preparing a reviewed document for sharing, you can use Remove Tracked Changes from Word separately, then keep the exported comment table as a review record.

Can I export Word comments directly to Excel without VBA?
Yes. Upload a .docx here and download an .xlsx table. No Word macro, Excel macro, or desktop add-in is required.
Does the export include the text being commented on?
Yes. When a comment has a normal range marker in the DOCX, the Anchored Text column includes the passage associated with that comment.
Are comment replies and resolved status supported?
They are supported when the document includes Word’s extended comment metadata. Older files may not contain that part, so Reply To or Resolved can be blank or Unknown.
Why are page numbers not included?
DOCX files store document structure, not a fixed final page layout. Reliable page numbers require Word’s rendering engine and can change with fonts, margins, and printer settings.
What can I do with the exported Excel file?
You can sort and filter the review table in Excel, or open the downloaded workbook in Motricialy’s Online Excel Editor for quick browser-based edits.
Does Motricialy upload my Word document?
No document-processing upload is required. The DOCX package is opened and read in your browser, and the original file is not modified.
