When converting PNG to JPG makes sense
JPG is usually a better fit for photographs and continuous-tone images when file size matters and transparency is not required. PNG remains better for logos, icons, screenshots with crisp text, and artwork that must preserve a transparent background.

PNG to JPG questions
What happens to a transparent PNG?
JPG does not support transparency. Motricialy paints your chosen background color first, then draws the PNG over it so transparent and semi-transparent pixels are flattened deliberately rather than turning into an unexpected black background.
Is JPG always smaller than PNG?
No. Photographic PNGs often shrink substantially as JPG, but small graphics and sharp screenshots can sometimes become similar in size or even larger. The converter shows the actual output bytes instead of assuming a saving.
Are my PNG images uploaded?
No image upload is required for the conversion itself. Decoding and JPEG encoding run locally in your browser. If you only need compression without changing format, the Image Compressor may be a better fit.
Does converting PNG to JPG reduce quality?
JPEG is a lossy format, so conversion can discard some detail. Use a higher quality setting for text-heavy or detailed images, and inspect the preview before you download.
Can I resize while converting?
