What Removing Headers and Footers Actually Changes
Word stores header and footer content separately for each section, and a section can use different content for its first, even and default pages. This tool removes those referenced header/footer parts. It does not remove section breaks or collapse your page margins, because blank header and footer areas are still part of Word's page structure.
Headers can also contain page numbers, logos, dates and Word watermarks. If a watermark is stored in a header, removing that header removes the watermark too. No. Word documents structurally have header and footer areas even when their content is empty. This tool removes header/footer content and references; it does not change page margins or header/footer distance settings.
Can I remove only headers or only footers?
