DESIGN TIPS
Choose the Right Discord Graphic
Server icon: A square 512 × 512 canvas works well with bold initials and centered logos. Animated server icons are a Server Boost Level 1 perk.
Profile banner: Use the 600 × 240 canvas for a personalized header. Animated profile banners require an eligible Discord Nitro subscription.
Server banner: Export 960 × 540 artwork for a server background; Discord recommends keeping the top area clear and avoiding embedded text. Animated server banners require Server Boost Level 3.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I create a banner without uploading a picture?
Yes. Choose a design, type your main name and an optional tagline, adjust the colors and export. Uploading an image is optional.
What is the difference between profile banners and server banners?
Profile banners are wide headers for user profiles (600 × 240). Server banners are background artwork for a server's channel list (960 × 540), which Discord generally recommends without text.
Is Discord Nitro or server boosting required?
You can create the GIF for free. Discord may require an eligible Nitro subscription for animated personal profile banners, Server Boost Level 1 for animated server icons and Level 3 for animated server banners.
Can I use my existing logo?
Yes. Upload PNG, JPG or WebP artwork. Choose to place it above your scene or use it behind the template. Fifteen classic image-based effects are also available for server icons.
Does the exported GIF match the preview?
Yes. The live preview and GIF export use the same scene renderer. The optional Discord mockup is a separate viewing aid and is not part of the exported file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Uploaded images remain in your browser and the animated GIF is rendered locally. Complex backgrounds may create larger files; reduce animation duration or FPS if needed.
