A colored, gray, yellowed, or dark PDF background can use unnecessary ink when printed. You can make the background white in a few simple steps.
Step 1: Open the PDF Background to White tool
Open the Change PDF Background Color to White tool:
Step 2: Upload your PDF
Choose the PDF you want to print. The tool will analyze the document and show the original page beside a white-background preview.
Step 3: Check the white preview
Check the White preview to make sure the text and other page content still look clear.
In most cases, you can leave the default Auto settings unchanged.
Step 4: Make the background white
Click Make Background White.
The selected pages will be processed in your browser.
Step 5: Download the PDF
Download the finished PDF and print the new white-background version.
If the Preview Needs Adjustment
If faint text or thin lines become too light, lower Cleanup Strength.
If some of the old background is still visible, increase it slightly and check the preview again.
