Tip: A higher DPI number does not create missing image detail. For print quality, pixel dimensions and intended physical size matter together.
Use only the steps your job needs. Compression, mirroring, or platform sizing are optional—not universal requirements.
If the pixel dimensions are much larger than you need, resize first. Then compress the resized result if the file is still too large. Cropping can come before resizing when you also need to change the framing.
Image size usually refers to pixel dimensions such as 3000 × 2000 px. DPI is resolution metadata used when mapping those pixels to a physical print size. DPI alone does not create extra detail.
Resizing can change the output dimensions, but enlarging a small source does not restore detail that was never captured. Use the source pixel dimensions and the final viewing or print size to judge whether enlargement is practical.
